Updated: Oct 6, 2022

We all have our tough times and sad moments in life. But how would you cheer someone up who is quiet ill since long?

How would you cheer someone had a career failure? Or someone who lost his loved one?

Communication is the best tool to cure any thing in ones life. But remember when you are trying your best to make a person happy, try don’t be over and keep it simple, as you might end up disturbing the person more.

“The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn’t being said.” - Peter Drucker

Some pointers that you can try:

  • Just, talk to them in whatever direction the conversation goes.

  • Be kind

  • Stay normal and not over excited

  • Try to chose topics that are not related to the pain points or negative things.

  • Be cheerful with your laughter at times

  • Watch comedy shows together on YouTube.

  • Go on a walk, sea by.

  • Sometimes silence works too.

  • Be a good listener, let the person say whatever he/ she has in mind.

  • Get the person talking, you can't just keep speaking like that.

  • Try to change physical space. Go out or on a holiday, maybe one day road trip.

  • Talk positive stuff and about success and failures.

  • Give examples of someone you have in mind.

You are done, you have done such a kind work. Congratulations.

Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after. - Unknown

Remember to be gentle through out the process and don't ever get angry as it might make things worst.

If you aren't yourself feeling good on regular basis, you can try this:

  • Make a routine to get up early and go on walk in the morning in a nice nearby Public park.

  • Eat lots of fruits.

  • Drink fresh juice it will make you feel better.

  • Keep telling that you can. There is nothing like CAN'T.

  • Chose a sport/ hobby of your choice and do it daily.

  • Talk to good people

Cheers! You are almost there.

Being motivated is also a skill which everyone can learn. Making someone happy is the most blessed thing one can do. All the best if you are going to do it to someone.

Never ever hesitate or fear from a failure, it is only a learning. Also, Read on how to handle failures.
